Many times people only do kata and never really look into their own skills and ability to make themselves better, they just try to make the kata better. You have to experience the kata and the training that goes along with it to truly understand the essence of the martial arts. In the event we did a lot of rapid response training, kumite, ground fighting, weapons kumite as well as surprise attacks and multiple attacks.
